This sculpture was inspired by the song “Bjurö klubb” of a Swedish artist Laleh. It is about a girl who was walking on the beach and met a blue whale. They had a long conversation during which the whale gave the girl life advice and suggested to hide into his big mouth.
This time I took pictures on a balcony, it was chilly and fresh there and afterwards it felt like I had taken a stroll in a forest together with a whale and a girl.
The girl accepted the whale’s offer to hide inside him 🙂

It took me three attempts to create a whale. The first two whales cracked during firing. I did not throw them away though and glazed pieces with different colours. After glaze firing I glued the pieces together. I am quite pleased with the result and a girl got a bigger company.
Since triceratops Serendipity felt quite lonely, I have knitted a sister for her. She is stegosaurus and her name is Serenity.
